I examine three plays by the Browns Grant Delpit, illustrating how modern defenses have adjusted their Post Safety technique in Cover 1 on early downs.
Hope Delpit can stay healthy, along with the rest with the secondary. I just hate watching the game on tv sometimes, with the camera zoomed on QB. You miss so much on the back end. Happy to hear the secondary’s technique is already on point.
You definitely can’t judge them by the score, because they clearly have a plan of what they want to work on as opposed to a gameplan to win. Can’t wait to see when we got the big dawgs rushing the qb, they didn’t have enough pressure to stop teams using super vanilla defensive looks against GB. Against the Vikings, adding in the blitz package didn’t create enough pressure either, but scheming for Myles Garrett will change the equation. Cowboys week 1, should be a fun matchup.
Well I hope more post snap deception, Improvement in running their change up NTTs, or zone behind some of their blitzes. If you’re not evolving, you are regressing.
But hey if Watson can return to his Houston form, it will make calling the defense a lot easier.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Schwartz evolves (or doesn't). That secondary is fun to watch regardless. Agree about TV angles.

Pass clips look very similar to quarters vs the cross dig concept.
In this technique, it will play out very similar to Quarters.
