A deep dive into the X's and O's of Cover 6 and its sister coverage, Cover 8, to see why the Vic Fangio system has exploded in popularity throughout the NFL.
Might be a dumb question but what is cover 9 then? I’ve always been told that cover 9 was just cover 6 but flipped, but that sounds like cover 8. Is cover 9 not a real thing
Cover 9 in Fangio is Weak Rotation Cover 3. Cover 6 in Saban is Weak rotation Cover 3. So the numbers outside 1, 2, 3, and 4 can mean different things to different people, so don't feel bad! Cover 6 is traditionally QQH, 8 in Fangio is HQQ, but as I said, things can mean different things. Welcome to defensive language! 😂
Are there any adjustments that need to be made if the Yo is attached (Trey)? Especially if that Yo is super dynamic? Thanks coach.
