I changed schools recently and we are a Cover 2 base. Squat seems to be our base technique. What other techniques would you recommend teaching at the JV level and why?
Thanks! That was my general thoughts as well. We’re in a fairly run heavy league so I think that using Trap will help a lot with that. Also, do you think you could put together a “Coverage 101” article for Cover 2 with coaching points for LB’s, Corners and Safeties? Your articles on NTT’s are great but having one article to cover the basics would be really cool too.
Thanks for the video. How many different cloud techniques exist in your tool box?
Typically will carry Cloud (base Palms), Squat (No Cover ZN), Press (Funnel), Peek (make it look like man), Trap (Step-Down)

Press = Easy funnel & a good way to into the technique without them feeling isolated.
Trap = You see a ton of perimeter screens at the lower levels & a nice hard sight read is an easy way to get TFLs & big hits.

I'll put that down for the off-season. Good idea.
Thank you!
No problem. I have more tech clinics in the Clinic Archive.
