Hey Coach, so this is the nail path during install it would be installed as nail, but in a game its gonna be called in as T call to run nail at the TE, B call to run nail to the back?
Nail = Nickel, Sand = Weak Safety. & I'm sure they have a "call" to get it to the RB, to the TE, or to the open side, depending on the game plan. Probably has a "family."
Thanks, I think things are starting to make sense with this kinda stuff more and more. I'm just a classic overthinker. Create mirror pressures, layer in different personnel, then attach rules to the names is kinda where I think I'm landing on this.
I Love your post. I lived with your split-field quarters when I coached varsity as a DC a few years ago. I am now a disciple! With these blitzes would you say it is similar to Gary Patterson's dawg blitz package (safety and backer blitz from the same side)??
Agreed. The kids easily digest that they only need to deal with what's happening on their side. When I return to coaching, I will most definitely keep in contact.

Exactly. Part to whole.
Got to meet Mike at UGA last weekend, pretty cool experience after deep diving through all your content on him. Thanks again!
That's awesome!

The best way to run these at the lower levels is to play half field zones.
Appreciate it!
