What situations/scenarios would want to “force” vs “feed”? It seems that either way the ILB’s should be clean to track the ball. I wonder if there’s a preference for the separate movement strategies vs different formations/plays?
Force when you want to cover down to an RPO. Feed when you want to accelerate the read. -OR- If you think the O-line gets 'sticky' when they see people cross their face, you want to force. If they are really good at getting lateral & vertical, feed it. Keep them on the LOS. Also, if you want to 'block' their movement because you are physically superior.
