Thanks so much for this clinic, Coach A! It really helps to have things broken down in the detailed way that you do. I’m going to share this with our whole coaching staff and hopefully we’ll be able to improve our approach to the off season and be prepared for next season.
My advice for next year is to break them down Sat morning before you attack the opponent. If you have JH/MS coaches that you trust have them do D&D & the call sheet from the game. Then you or as a group
can quickly get the forms & plays in. Helps tremendously post season.
I actually made this a habit to do because it's a beast if you don't. Then made an all plays file & popped them in before I attacked the opponent scout. Short term pain for long term gain! 😂
Hey Cody thanks this was awesome! What movement based colleges/schools you would recommend to study?
The best ones who translate to the high school level are Pitt (4-down) and any App State or East Coast 3-4 guys.
If interested in a movement 4-down, my Cautious Aggression book sets that up, & I wrote a primer on the App St. system a while back: https://www.matchquarters.com/p/mq-film-study-app-state-vs-unc-2019?utm_source=publication-search

Anytime! Appreciate you.
The long tenuous process begins. Got to breakdown all of our games now to set up the cutups
