When you are running your reductions from the deuce front, are the 2 techniques taking a lateral stunt step, or are they in a 4 point balanced stanced stepping first to the gap they are reducing to?
In a 2t, they are trying to step to the face of the Guard. It's a lag technique, not a quick stunt. The DT is heavy through their OL. It doesn't have to be a 4-point stance; it just has to be light in their hands. The process is feet—hands—hips (react—attack).

Does this apply to other reduction fronts (rays, orioles etc) when the reduction is based off the back or TE placement?
